Coaching and Mentoring
Using a coaching approach to mentoring, is a way to strengthen and grow the capabilities of all middle leaders by teaching and supporting these teachers to make measurable progress in leading others. I run programs that align with the Middle Leaders Standards and outline what middle leaders need to know, understand and do to foster a culture of trust and mutual responsibility in a connected community of learners. Through collaborative interactions, I support all leaders to further develop their range of skillsets and enabling dispositions to build their capacity to lead others with care and compassion.

Pedagogical Style of Teaching
The Expansive Education approach focuses on the theory and techniques for teaching staff and students the what, why and how of learning. I have the knowledge and the skillset to support every teacher in understanding and implementing effective 21st century pedagogy - adapting and improving their skills in the science, art and craft of teaching and learning according to the curriculum and aligned with the Australian Professional Standards for teachers. I have extensive experience in guiding teachers in explicitly teaching young people how to learn, with a targeted focus on Guy Claxton’s teaching and learning framework, “The Learning Powered Approach”.

Leading Professional Learning Communities
I am an accredited change facilitator and know how to develop and support all schools and teachers in cultivating a learning culture in their classrooms and in the school environment, so that every teacher can become the best educators they can be. By implementing the routine of Professional Learning Teams with all staff, the focus is on learning and continuous improvement to increase knowledge, understanding and skills that share effective practices, and support teachers to collaboratively build their capacity and confidence to know and measure their impact student learning.
